Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vince Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Patrick Silva was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne scores with a jab.
Silva darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Payne wants to get back to his feet.
Payne could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Silva tries to stand and escape but Payne is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Silva controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Payne is not content to let Silva control the position.
Patrick Silva has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Payne comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Silva gets the takedown into side control.
Silva is working to tighten his grip on Payne's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Payne has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Silva is really squeezing tight and eventually Payne passes out! Silva breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Patrick Silva!
