Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Herb Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Greg Norman!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norman throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dean shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Norman as he jumps to the side.
Norman connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Norman misses with an attempted mid kick.
A head kick misses from Norman.
Dean moves in looking to clinch but Norman pushes him off.
A bone on bone clash there as Dean blocks the leg kick.
Norman looks to land a left hand but Dean moved out of range nicely.
Norman pushes Dean away with a front kick.
Dean shoots for a takedown but Norman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Norman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Norman misses with a lunging right hand

and Dean counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dean.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Dean trying to control but Norman is working from the bottom.
Dean pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Norman is keeping the position for now.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Norman holds on and takes a little breather.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dean preventing the sweep.
Dean wants to control from the top but Norman keeps moving.
Dean passes Norman's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Norman desperately trying to maintain half guard.

Dean looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Dean throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Dean is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Norman defends it well.
Norman wants to improve his position but Dean is controlling well.

Dean is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Norman is just riding it out for now. Dean eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dean seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Norman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Norman is looking for a sweep. Dean is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Norman is concentrating on defense, preventing Dean from advancing position.

Greg Norman has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Norman looks to throw the jab but Dean is out of range.
Norman looks to score with a jab to the body but Dean is just out of range.
Norman bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Norman fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Dean ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Dean looks to clinch
and Norman makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Norman thows a left - swing and a miss!
Dean fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dean definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Norman darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Norman pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dean tries to clinch up but Norman circles away and keeps his distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dean fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Norman pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Norman fakes the leg kick and cracks Dean in the body.
Dean tries to clinch but Norman moves away
and Norman counters with an outside leg kick.
Norman catches Dean with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Dean tries to score a power double leg takedown but Norman sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dean somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Herb Dean. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Norman's jab looks to have found its range, popping Dean under the eye.
Dean takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Norman ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Norman scores with a jab. Dean acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Good exchange - Norman coming out on top.


Dean is rocked!
Norman shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Dean takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Norman sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Dean bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
