The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Michaels shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fox napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Michaels decides to stand back up. Michaels steps back and let's Fox get back to his feet.

Michaels bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Michaels working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Michaels accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Michaels drops Fox with a beautiful combination! Fox stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Michaels is looking for the KO!

Fox tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Michaels just stands there and leans against the cage.
Michaels has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Fox prevents Michaels from breaking the clinch.

Fox jumps into guard, dragging Michaels to the mat.

Fox has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Michaels off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Michaels throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Michaels! Fox is backing up but he can't get away as Michaels lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Fox and ends the fight. Great knockout.

Dwayne Michaels decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
