Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sheldon Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Teach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sheldon Cooper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Edward Teach!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Bart Greer and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Teach shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Cooper's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Teach throws a big elbow that misses.
Teach trying to control but Cooper is working from the bottom.

Cooper has his foot on Teach's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Teach works his way back into a safe position though.
Teach lands a couple of digs.
Cooper not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Cooper seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Cooper has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Teach can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cooper escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Teach gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cooper is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Teach scores with a couple of nice shots.
Cooper is trying to get back to full guard.
Teach working the head and body with strikes.

Teach seems to be working for a kimura but Cooper defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Teach takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cooper has hold of Teach's hands but Teach slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Teach is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Cooper has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Teach is working away from the top position though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Excellent takedown into side control there by Teach.

Teach tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Teach has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Cooper working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Teach turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Cooper off and cradles Teach's limp body as Cooper celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Sheldon Cooper!
An out of breath Sheldon Cooper thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
