Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Masaru Shimabukuro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Eduardo Demaestri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shimabukuro comes to the cage accompanied by Warrior. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masaru Shimabukuro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julian Eduardo Demaestri!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimabukuro misses with a kick to the body.
Demaestri looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shimabukuro is fending him off so far but Demaestri persists. Nope, Shimabukuro circles away and we're back to standing.
Demaestri has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Shimabukuro is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Shimabukuro lands with a nice body kick.
Demaestri tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shimabukuro swivels and escapes.
Shimabukuro throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Demaestri shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shimabukuro but Shimabukuro pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Masaru Shimabukuro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julian Eduardo Demaestri.

Masaru Shimabukuro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Shimabukuro.
Demaestri shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Shimabukuro sprawls well. Shimabukuro wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Demaestri gets slowly back to his feet.
Shimabukuro swings and misses with a hook to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Shimabukuro on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shimabukuro tries to get out of the position.
Demaestri won't allow Shimabukuro to get back to his feet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shimabukuro is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Demaestri working for submissions but it's allowed Shimabukuro to get to half guard.

Demaestri is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Shimabukuro pulls his head out easily.

Shimabukuro perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shimabukuro wants to control but Demaestri is keeping him busy.

Demaestri is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Shimabukuro is tapping! Great win for Demaestri!

A less than humble Julian Eduardo Demaestri misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
