The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
russian tries a head kick but it misses.
russian tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
russian throws a sloppy head kick and Ottavainen moves out of range easily.
russian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ottavainen circles away from the clinch attempt.

russian gets a clinch.
Ottavainen wants to get back to striking at distance but russian won't allow it.
russian tries to break the clinch but Ottavainen is controlling the position.

Ottavainen breaks the clinch.
russian fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
russian tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ottavainen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
russian shoots for a takedown but Ottavainen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

russian shoots in looking for a takedown. Ottavainen tries to sprawl out of it but russian keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ottavainen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for the rad russian. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ottavainen darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! russian's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Ottavainen before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
