Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John McErlane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks comes to the cage accompanied by Amazing by Kanye West. McErlane has chosen Demanufacture by FEAR FACTORY as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kevin Brooks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John McErlane!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks circles away from the clinch attempt.
McErlane tries to clinch up but Brooks circles away and keeps his distance.
McErlane tries to close the distance and clinch but Brooks swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
McErlane throws a right and a left that both miss.
McErlane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Brooks is trying to control the position but McErlane postures up.
Brooks preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Brooks is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Brooks is trying to control the action in half guard but McErlane is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Brooks moves nicely into side control.
McErlane regains half guard.
Brooks is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Brooks thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McErlane's head.
McErlane slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Brooks stopping the sweep attempt from McErlane.

McErlane looking for a sweep. Not yet McErlane, not yet.
McErlane looking for a guillotine here but Brooks defends easily.
Brooks trying to control the position from guard on top but McErlane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
McErlane avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
A nice combination there by Brooks.
Brooks forces McErlane back against the cage and clinches.
Brooks tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McErlane smiles and moves away.
McErlane throws a wild body kick that Brooks sees coming a mile off.
Brooks throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brooks closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Brooks has hold of McErlane's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! McErlane tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Brooks cranks the arm and McErlane screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from McErlane, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Kevin Brooks!
