And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Escobar!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Phil Schofield and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar throws a series of punches but Day avoids them all with ease.

Escobar gets a takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Day actively working from the bottom here.
Escobar content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Escobar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Day looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Day is pressing down on Escobar's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Day working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Escobar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Escobar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Day is looking for a triangle but Escobar pushes his legs off easily.

Day had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Escobar defends it easily.

Escobar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Day. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Day looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Escobar is defending well. Day quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Escobar has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Day celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
