Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Raymore Ardonia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Nix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nix has chosen Gorilla Militia by Bliss n Eso as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Mirko Raymore Ardonia had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Ben Watson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ardonia lands with a hook. Nix tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Nix throws a chopping leg kick but Ardonia manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Nix cracks Ardonia with a right hand to the side of the head.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Nix.
Nix misses with an uppercut. Ardonia saw that one coming.
Ardonia avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nix dodges the punch combination from Ardonia.
Ardonia bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Nix's head.
Ardonia throws a jab when Nix was well out of range.
Nix misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nix throws a hook but Ardonia blocks it.
Nix lands a nice hook to Ardonia's body. Ardonia takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Nix connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ardonia momentarily.

Ardonia stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Nix.
Ardonia moves out of range of the body kick from Nix.
Nix drops Ardonia with a beautiful combination! Ardonia stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Nix is looking for the KO!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nix fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ardonia, pushing him back against the cage.

Ardonia is trying to push Nix away but Nix has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Nix misses with a short punch on the inside.
Ardonia takes a shot to the head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Nix scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Ardonia moves away from the strike by Nix.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ardonia has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ardonia and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Nix ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ardonia moves away.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Both fighters circling a little - Ardonia finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Nix is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ardonia.
Ardonia will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Nix looks up at the clock. Bad move! Ardonia lands a right hand from hell, dropping Nix. Ardonia pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
