PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Indigo Starseed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Demarco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Starseed comes to the cage accompanied by Heal the World - Michael jackson. Demarco has chosen Fast Lane as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Indigo Starseed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anthony Demarco!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Eddie Farnsworth and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Demarco scoring well with a low kick there.
Demarco tries to clinch but Starseed is having none of it.

Demarco fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Starseed to the ground. Demarco is now in Starseed's guard.
Starseed keeping moving, preventing Demarco from controlling successfully.
Demarco passes Starseed's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Starseed is trying to stand up here but Demarco is controlling him well.
Demarco seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Starseed does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Starseed pushes Demarco off and gets back to his feet.
Demarco will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Starseed throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Demarco tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Starseed is in Demarco's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Starseed stays in close to Demarco's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Starseed slips nicely into half guard.
Demarco won't allow Starseed to pass to mount.
Demarco pushes Starseed off looking to stand but Starseed dives back in and keeps control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Starseed looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Starseed uses his free foot to push down on Demarco's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Demarco.

Starseed is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Starseed!
