PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glover Crowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Sapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bob Sapp was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sapp ducks right into an uppercut from Crowe.
Sapp shoots in but no luck this time.
Crowe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Crowe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Crowe feints a jab promting Sapp to slip. Crowe then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Sapp slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Crowe drops Sapp with a beautiful combination! Sapp stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Crowe is looking for the KO!

Sapp is rocked!

It looks like Bob Sapp has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sapp showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Crowe.
Sapp is still on wobbly legs! Can Crowe finish him?
Sapp connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

It looks like Glover Crowe has been cut.

Crowe moves into the clinch successfully.
Sapp seems to have recovered his senses.
A frustrated look appears on Sapp's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Sapp is looking to break free of the clinch but Crowe has double underhooks.
Crowe tries to circle away but Sapp has him pinned against the cage.

Crowe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Crowe misses with a two punch combination.
Sapp is looking to clinch but Crowe is avoiding it.
Sapp throws the left hand but Crowe avoids the punch easily.

Crowe tries to keep at a distance but Sapp has taken the fight into the clinch.

Crowe breaks the clinch.

Glover Crowe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sapp shoots in for a double leg but Crowe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Crowe moves out of range as Sapp strikes.
Sapp shoots in and drives through. Crowe sprawls well.
Glover Crowe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Sapp.

Crowe has taken the fight to the clinch.
Crowe can't get the takedown.

Crowe breaks from the clinch.
Crowe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Crowe crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sapp - the referee stops the clock and Crowe gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sapp. Crowe manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Sapp looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sapp moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Crowe lands a left and a right that send Sapp crashing to the mat, dazed. Crowe thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Crowe moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Sapp! Crowe continues to tee off on Sapp, landing with a left and a right! Crowe connects with a right hand that leaves Sapp sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Crowe!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Glover Crowe!
An out of breath Glover Crowe thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
