The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar lands a nice hook to Sanchez's body. Sanchez takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Edgar lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Edgar.

It looks like Diego Sanchez has been cut.
Sanchez throws a body punch but Edgar moves out of range.
Edgar looks to score with a jab to the body but Sanchez is just out of range.
Edgar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sanchez tries to land a front kick but Edgar steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Sanchez lands with a slapping head kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Edgar.
Edgar stuffs the takedown.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Edgar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sanchez.
No joy there for Edgar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sanchez lands a high kick!

Sanchez gets a clinch.
Edgar keeps control of Sanchez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Sanchez pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Sanchez has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Edgar is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jake Edgar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Diego Sanchez.

Edgar uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sanchez.
Sanchez misses with a takedown attempt
and Edgar counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Jake Edgar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sanchez looks winded!
Edgar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sanchez is defended easily by Edgar.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sanchez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Edgar sprawls well. Edgar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet.
Edgar connects with a jab.
Sanchez looks up at the clock. Bad move! Edgar lands a right hand from hell, dropping Sanchez. Edgar pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
