The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kaboom clinches with his opponent.

Kaboom has hold of one of Hendandez's legs. Hendandez is fighting the takedown attempt but Kaboom gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Hendandez is looking to stand up but Kaboom isn't so interested in that idea.
Kaboom is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hendandez is trying to keep Kaboom in close.
Kaboom seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Smach Kaboom wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Kaboom swats away the attempt to clinch by Hendandez.

and Kaboom counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hendandez's guard now.

Hendandez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Kaboom throws a big elbow that misses.

Hendandez is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Smach Kaboom just wasn't active enough.
Hendandez tries for a takedown but Kaboom circles away easily

and Kaboom counters by clinching up.

Hendandez tries to keep at a distance but Kaboom has taken the fight into the clinch.
Hendandez is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kaboom is defending well for now.

Hendandez has his takedown stuffed

and Kaboom moves into the clinch.
Smach Kaboom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guda F Hendandez.

Kaboom could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hendandez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kaboom looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kaboom wants to pass to mount but Hendandez is defending the position.
Kaboom looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kaboom tries to pass to full mount but Hendandez defends it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Smach Kaboom.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kaboom is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kaboom stands up and beckons Hendandez to join him on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kaboom closes the distance looking for a takedown. Hendandez stuffs it but Kaboom still has hold of him. Kaboom picks Hendandez up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Kaboom slams Hendandez to the floor and that's really hurt Hendandez - he doesn't know where he is! Kaboom throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
