Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Showman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stirling Sanguin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tyler Showman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stirling Sanguin!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Showman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Showman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sanguin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Sanguin drives through with a takedown into Showman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Sanguin wants to control from the top but Showman keeps moving.
Sanguin lands a couple of elbows.
Sanguin trying to control but Showman is working from the bottom.
Sanguin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Sanguin won't allow Showman to get back to his feet.

Showman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sanguin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Showman looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Sanguin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Showman is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Sanguin scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Showman is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sanguin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Showman manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Sanguin keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Sanguin tries to pull guard but Showman holds him up against the cage and eventually Sanguin drops back down to his feet.
Showman is trying to break the clinch but Sanguin has him pressed against the cage.
Sanguin lands a shot to the body.

Sanguin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Showman is fending him off so far but Sanguin persists. Nope, Showman circles away and we're back to standing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanguin accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sanguin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Sanguin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Showman sprawls well initially but Sanguin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sanguin wants to control but Showman is keeping him busy.

Sanguin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Sanguin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Showman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Stirling Sanguin has got the better of the ground game so far.

Sanguin is trying to control the action in half guard but Showman is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Sanguin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Showman is just riding it out for now. Sanguin eventually gives up the hold.
Sanguin is looking to take a break and control but Showman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stirling Sanguin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Showman throws a push kick but Sanguin slaps the foot to one side.
Showman moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Showman avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Showman throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Showman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Sanguin takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sanguin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Showman - the referee stops the clock and Sanguin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Showman. Sanguin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Sanguin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Showman lands a big head kick that sends Sanguin to the canvas! Showman follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
