Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Spartan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Bill Monroe & The Bluegrass Boys - Southern Flavor. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, The Spartan!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Spartan swivels and escapes.
Spartan slaps away a takedown attempt from Smith, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Smith tries for a takedown but Spartan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Smith closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Smith shoots in looking for a takedown. Spartan tries to sprawl out of it but Smith keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spartan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Spartan goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like John Smith has been cut.

Spartan connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Smith! He's out on his feet! Spartan rushes in and drops Smith with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). The Spartan!
The Spartan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
