Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Warren Peace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chris Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peace tries to clinch but Johnson is having none of it.
Peace moves to clinch but Johnson breaks away
and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Johnson misses with an uppercut. Peace saw that one coming.
Peace takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Peace shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Peace showed some decent athleticism there.
Peace could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Peace keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Peace is keen to just control but Johnson is a slippery customer.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johnson can do anything to dispel that myth.

and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Peace tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Peace tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Peace has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Peace wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy.

Johnson is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Warren Peace has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Peace ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Chris Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Peace tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand.
Peace moves out of range of the strikes.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Johnson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Johnson prevents Peace from breaking the clinch.
Johnson has had enough of the clinch but Peace keeps him there for the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Peace fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Johnson sprawls well initially but Peace persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Peace wants to free his trapped foot but Johnson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Peace wants to take a breather but Johnson is having none of it.

We're going to have a standup here because Warren Peace wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Johnson instigates a clinch.
Peace is trying to break the clinch but Johnson is controlling him.
Johnson tries to break free but Peace pushes him back against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Johnson as Peace tries to tie him up.

Peace turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Peace manages to end up in side control.
Peace wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working.

Peace tries for a kimura but Johnson is defending well.

Johnson is not content to let Peace control the position.

Johnson regains half guard there - taking advantage of Peace's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Peace thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Johnson's head.
Peace is trying to control. Johnson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Johnson is looking to escape.
Peace trying to control the action but Johnson is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Peace is controlling him well.

Peace is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Johnson is trying to escape and Peace transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Johnson is forced to tap! Nice work there by Peace! Very nice indeed!

A less than humble Warren Peace misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
