The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mowshowitz clinches up with Thompson and pushes him back against the cage.
Mowshowitz can't break the clinch.

Thompson has Mowshowitz pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mowshowitz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Thompson keeps control of Mowshowitz as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Mowshowitz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Tobi Mowshowitz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thompson shoots in but no luck this time.
Mowshowitz throws a leg kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thompson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Thompson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mowshowitz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Thompson tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Mowshowitz wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Thompson has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Mowshowitz's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Mowshowitz is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Thompson!
