Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad Mansfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Samuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mansfield feints and as Samuel raises his hands in defense, Mansfield changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Samuel pulls Mansfield in close to his closed guard and prevents Mansfield from doing any damage or advancing position.
Mansfield trying to control the position from guard on top but Samuel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mansfield trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Samuel manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Samuel tries to free his leg and advance position but Mansfield is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Samuel is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Samuel is pushing down on Mansfield's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mansfield is fighting to maintain full guard but Samuel has managed to sneak the leg through.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Samuel connects with a nice short shot to Mansfield's temple.
Mansfield is looking for a sweep. Samuel is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Samuel misses with a head shot. Mansfield uses the momentum to regain guard.
Samuel stays in close to Mansfield's body and controls the position.

Samuel is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Samuel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Samuel postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Samuel won't allow Mansfield to sweep him here.
Samuel postures up in Mansfield's guard and throws a big left but Mansfield blocks it.
Samuel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mansfield swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Samuel avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Samuel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mansfield has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Samuel has managed to get both his arms back between Mansfield's legs - danger averted.

Samuel wants to control from the top but Mansfield keeps moving.
Mansfield might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Samuel might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mansfield haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Trevor Samuel.

Samuel fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Mansfield sprawls well initially but Samuel persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Samuel slips a nice elbow through Mansfield's hands, connecting with Mansfield's forehead.
Samuel is nestled in close to Mansfield, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Samuel tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mansfield knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Samuel lands some shots froms side control.
Samuel cracks Mansfield with a big right hand but Mansfield just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Mansfield is rocked!
I wouldn't like to be where Mansfield is right now.
Samuel connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Mansfield some visible discomfort.
Oh Mansfield is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Samuel scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Mansfield is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Samuel can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
