The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Law swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Law closes the distance and clinches.
Jimenez is looking to break free of the clinch but Law has double underhooks.
Jimenez goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Law closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Law decides to stand back up. Law steps back and let's Jimenez get back to his feet.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Law seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jimenez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Tommy Law seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jimenez gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Law pushes down on Jimenez's leg and manages to get into half guard.

and Jimenez counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jimenez.

Jimenez has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Jimenez is looking to get back to full guard here but Law has managed to pass to side control instead.

Law gets the takedown into side control.
Jimenez pushes Law away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Law gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Law misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Law tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Law is looking to take a break and control but Jimenez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Law thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Law feints and as Jimenez raises his hands in defense, Law changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Law is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Jimenez is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Law presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Jimenez has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Jimenez swings wildly with an uppercut but Law uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jimenez wants to sweep here but Law controlling him for the moment.
