Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Coryatt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Dorris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Coryatt might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Welcome 2 Houston. Chuck Dorris has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coryatt steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Dorris.
Donk. Dorris catches Coryatt right on the button with a cross.
Dorris pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Dorris fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Coryatt manages to avoid it.
Dorris throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Coryatt looks to throw the jab but Dorris is out of range.

Dorris has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Dorris shoots for a double leg takedown but Coryatt sprawls well. He's pushed Dorris's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Dorris is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Coryatt.

Dorris changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Coryatt looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Chuck Dorris showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Coryatt seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Coryatt shoots in looking for a takedown. Dorris tries to sprawl out of it but Coryatt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dorris manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Dorris drops his hands momentarily and Coryatt takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Chuck Dorris is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Dorris lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Dorris shoots in and bounces Coryatt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dorris pushes down on Coryatt's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Coryatt is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I've got Dorris winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
