PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Sub Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Lewis St Clair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St Clair is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ready to Die. Jon Lewis St Clair told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by St Clair. Beautiful body shot.
St Clair connects with a leg kick. Zero looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
St Clair bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Zero's head.

It looks like Sub Zero has been cut.
St Clair has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Zero takes a swing at St Clair's ribcage but misses.
Zero swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and St Clair counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sub Zero seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

St Clair lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zero circles away quickly and effectively.
St Clair uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Zero.

The fighters circle momentarily. Zero darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Sub Zero's cut is getting worse.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

No joy there for St Clair, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
St Clair keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
St Clair tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Zero looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
St Clair throws a head kick that Zero semi-blocks.
St Clair lands a nice looking body kick.
Zero ducks right into an uppercut from St Clair.

Sub Zero's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Zero throws a hook but St Clair blocks it.

Zero takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
St Clair lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Jeez, Sub Zero's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
St Clair scores with a push kick.
Zero throws an overhand right that lands on St Clair's shoulder, as St Clair tries to avoid the shot.
St Clair keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zero fails in his attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Zero looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
