The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Skye!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Skye tries to improve position but can't.
Aoki tries to move into full mount but can't pass Skye's legs.
Aoki is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Skye knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Aoki tries to advance to mount but Skye instead regains half guard.
Skye trying to hold on to Aoki's head to control him but Aoki postures up.

Skye is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Aoki has latched onto it... Big trouble! Aoki pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Skye is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Aoki!
