Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Samir Oliva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bud Diesel !
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliva connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
An inside leg kick lands from Oliva.

Oliva gets caught napping as Diesel dives in and scores a takedown. Oliva manages to retain guard.
Diesel tries to free his leg and advance position but Oliva is retaining full guard.
Diesel postures up in Oliva's guard and throws a big left but Oliva blocks it.
Oliva keeping moving, preventing Diesel from controlling successfully.
Oliva wants to stand up but Diesel is controlling him.
Oliva looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Samir Oliva wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Diesel missing with a left hand there. Oliva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Diesel tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Oliva defends well and Diesel ends up having to push Oliva into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Diesel is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Oliva to keep the fight standing.
Diesel is looking to break free of the clinch but Oliva has double underhooks.
Diesel looking for a takedown.
Samir Oliva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bud Diesel .
Diesel tries to score a body lock takedown but Oliva shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Oliva's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Diesel misses with a takedown attempt - Oliva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Diesel shoots in but no luck this time.

Diesel changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oliva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Oliva is pushing Diesel 's head away, looking to escape. Diesel manages to hold on to the position though.

Diesel goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Oliva has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Diesel but great work by Oliva.
Diesel tries to buck Oliva off but Oliva is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Oliva decides to stand back up. Oliva steps back and let's Diesel get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diesel on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Diesel looks winded!
A head kick misses from Oliva.
Diesel tries for a takedown but Oliva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
A solid body kick from Oliva.
Oliva buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Oliva.
Diesel takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That kick from Oliva tenderised Diesel 's leg. Diesel is trying to keep his angry face on.
Diesel takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Oliva lands a high kick!

Oliva lands a big head kick that sends Diesel tumbling to the mat! Oliva takes a step backwards and waves Diesel back to his feet - he wants the finish!


It looks like Bud Diesel has been cut.
Oliva lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Oliva lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Diesel fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Oliva throws a leg kick which misses Diesel 's front leg but catches the back leg as Diesel tries to avoid it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oliva explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Oliva cracks the inside of Diesel 's front leg.
Oliva fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Diesel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Oliva keeps Diesel at a distance using the push kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Oliva lands a big head kick that sends Diesel tumbling to the mat! Oliva takes a step backwards and waves Diesel back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Diesel is rocked!
Oliva throws a quick inside leg kick.
Diesel is still on wobbly legs! Can Oliva finish him?
Oliva and Diesel are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Oliva throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Diesel into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Oliva knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Samir Oliva!
Samir Oliva seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
