Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Teodoro Dillon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Conely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conely has chosen the cove as his entrance music. Nick Conely has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Teodoro Dillon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Nick Conely!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Vladimir Khabensky and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conely fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Dillon misses the shot to the body.
Conely scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Conely shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Dillon counters with a nice double leg into side control. Conely won't be happy with that.

Dillon decides to stand up, so the ref orders Conely to his feet.
Conely misses with a takedown attempt

and Dillon counters by moving into the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Conely missing with knees to the body.
Conely has had enough of the clinch but Dillon keeps him there for the moment.

Conely successfully pulls guard.
Conely wants to stand and escape but Dillon is having none of it.

Dillon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Dillon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Conely, up you get!
Dillon swings for the body but Conely moves out of range.
Conely fails with an attempt to clinch.
No joy there for Dillon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Dillon pushes Conely up against the cage in a clinch.
Conely gets underhooks to prevent Dillon's takedown attempt.
Conely wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dillon has him pressed against the cage.

Dillon blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Conely manages to break the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Conely is defended easily by Dillon.
Teodoro Dillon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nick Conely.

Dillon rushes Conely and presses him up against the cage.
Dillon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Conely walks away with a smile on his face. Dillon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Conely dives in and scores a takedown into Dillon's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dillon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Dillon looking for a sweep. Not yet Dillon, not yet.
Dillon working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Conely.
Conely loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Conely won't allow Dillon to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Teodoro Dillon.
Dillon swings for the body but Conely moves out of range.
Dillon falls off balance throwing a combination
and Conely counters with a low kick, right behind Dillon 's knee.
Dillon is breathing heavily.
Dillon misses with a wild combination.
Dillon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Conely looks for a takedown but Dillon sprawls well.

A close round but Nick Conely will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dillon is standing up over Conely. Conely looks to escape but Dillon dives into side control.
Conely is breathing heavily.

Dillon decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Teodoro Dillon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dillon looks to throw the jab but Conely is out of range.

Conely dodges the punch combination from Dillon.
Dillon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Conely manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Conely tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Conely is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Dillon.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Conely wants to control his opponent's hands but Dillon gets his hands free.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Conely throws a series of punches but Dillon moves out of range.
Conely avoids a punch combination nicely.
Horrible takedown by Conely or perhaps it was just good defense by Dillon which made him look bad.
Conely shoots in for a double leg but Dillon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dillon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Dillon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Conely moves away.

A solid leg kick lands there for Conely.

Dillon gets tackled into the cage by Conely. Conely maintains the clinch.
Conely's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Conely's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Conely tries to clinch up but Dillon circles away and keeps his distance.
Conely wants to clinch but Dillon slips to the side

and Dillon counters with a shoot takedown. Conely fights it but they end up in guard.
Dillon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dillon stands up and waves to Conely to follow him.

Conely has a takedown stuffed.

Conely takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
No luck for Dillon with that takedown attempt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Conely dives in for a single leg takedown but Dillon sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Dillon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Conely walks away with a smile on his face. Dillon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Conely looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dillon is fending him off so far but Conely persists. Nope, Dillon circles away and we're back to standing.
Nick Conely seems to be getting the better of the standup.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Dillon checks a leg kick.
Dillon keeps the fight on the outside.

And that's the end of the fight!
Teodoro Dillon showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Dillon has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
