Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jugdish Patel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knack Wupp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Daniel Franklin and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patel moves into range and clinches up with Wupp.
Wupp is pressed up against the cage. Patel has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wupp down to the mat. Wupp avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Patel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wupp sprawls well. Wupp wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Patel gets slowly back to his feet.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

We've been hearing good reports from Patel's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Wupp might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Patel haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
You can see the frustration on Patel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That was a close round but I would say that Jugdish Patel will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Patel throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wupp tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Patel is in Wupp's guard.

Patel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wupp swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wupp closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Patel fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Patel lands a shoulder strike.
Patel jumps into guard, dragging Wupp to the mat.

Wupp got a little sloppy there for a moment and Patel has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wupp has managed to get both his arms back between Patel's legs - danger averted.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Knack Wupp was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Patel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wupp manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Patel shoots in looking for a takedown. Wupp tries to sprawl out of it but Patel keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wupp manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Wupp closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wupp lands in his opponent's guard.
Jugdish Patel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Wupp wants to control from the top but Patel keeps moving.

Patel has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Wupp should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Patel has tightened it up now! Wupp should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
