Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Billy Slater!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Topper Green and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferson misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jefferson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Slater manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jefferson on his heels. He'll look to pass Jefferson's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Jefferson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Slater passes into side control.
Slater grinds an elbow into Jefferson's temple.
Slater gets to mount! Jefferson was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Jefferson is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Slater trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Jefferson tries to buck Slater off but he can't manage it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jefferson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

It looks like Slater might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Jefferson is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Slater working away from the top, dropping strikes.
It looks like George Jefferson has been cut.
Slater pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Jefferson is rocked!
Jefferson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jefferson tries to improve his position but instead Slater has taken his back!
Oh Jefferson is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Slater slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Jefferson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Slater on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Slater is punishing Jefferson with some ground and pound.
Slater is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Jefferson is tapping out! This one is all over!
