PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Clow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Infante (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pedro Infante!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Infante. No joy for Clow on that attempt.
Clow will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Clow shoots and misses
and Infante counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Infante connects with a leg kick. Clow looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Infante is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Infante feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Clow's calf.
Clow rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Infante moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Infante has closed the distance and engaged Clow in a clinch.
Infante throws a knee to the head but misses.
Clow is trying to break free.
Clow takes an elbow to the forehead.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Infante.
Clow avoids the elbow strike from Infante, against the cage.

Infante has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Clow clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Clow is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Infante has the hooks in. Clow is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Infante connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Clow to escape the position.

Infante seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Clow's chin but Clow turns very nicely into Infante's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Clow.
Clow might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Infante counters with a nice leg kick.

Infante scores with a one two! Clow had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Infante moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
No joy there for Clow, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Infante pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Infante looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Clow gets a clinch.
Clow wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Clow has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Infante avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pedro Infante dominated that round.
That's time! Clow's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Clow instigates a clinch.
Clow wants to take the fight to the mat but Infante manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Infante is pressed up against the cage. Clow has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Infante down to the mat. Infante avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Clow swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Infante counters with a good low kick that Clow was not able to check.
Clow goes for a double leg but Infante avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Infante continues to drive forward.

Infante is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Clow is defending well for now.

Clow is fighting off a takedown attempt but Infante is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Clow to the mat. Clow regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Infante wants to stand but Clow is controlling his posture from full guard.

Infante is working Clow over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Infante is breathing heavily.

Infante lying in Clow's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Clow decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Infante taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
