Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kay Maurico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kay Maurico will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Royce Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Gracie turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Gracie manages to end up in side control.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Gracie landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Gracie working away.
Gracie wants to stand but Maurico has his arm trapped.
Maurico can't do much from the bottom here.
Maurico is looking to reverse the position.
Maurico takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Maurico is looking for a sweep.
Gracie is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Maurico's shoulder. That is not cool.
Maurico is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gracie asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A lull in the action here as Gracie stalls from top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie stands up.

Maurico feints and as Gracie raises his hands in defense, Maurico changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Maurico gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Gracie has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Maurico doesn't defend quickly enough and Gracie has managed to lock this one up! Can Maurico escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Gracie on a fantastic submission victory.
