Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Greg Martinez !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mic Timber!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martinez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Martinez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Martinez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Martinez tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Timber wants to control but Martinez postures up.

Martinez decides to stand back up. Martinez steps back and let's Timber get back to his feet.

Martinez rushes Timber and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Timber breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Martinez clinches up with Timber and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Timber tries to break the clinch but Martinez is controlling the position.

Martinez gets control of Timber's arms and successfully pulls guard. Martinez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Martinez has his hands on Timber's head, controlling the position.
Martinez tries to strike from the bottom.
Martinez tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Martinez on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Martinez tries to get out of the position.
Martinez pulls Timber in close to prevent any damage.
Timber trying to control the position from guard on top but Martinez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mic Timber hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Timber scores with a jab. Martinez acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Martinez tries to clinch up but Timber circles away and keeps his distance.

Martinez moves into the clinch successfully.
Martinez is working for takedown but Timber is calmly controlling the position for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Martinez prevents Timber from breaking the clinch.
Timber looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Martinez is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Martinez has Timber pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Martinez pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Timber tumbling to the mat - Martinez dives into Timber's guard.

Martinez is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Timber really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Martinez . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's time! Martinez 's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Martinez moves in looking to clinch but Timber pushes him off.
Timber swats away the attempt to clinch by Martinez .
Martinez shoots in looking for a takedown but Timber manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Martinez 's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Martinez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Timber but Timber pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Mic Timber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Timber pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Martinez back to the cage. Timber follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Greg Martinez has been cut.
Martinez takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Martinez tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Timber manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Timber dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Martinez closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Timber lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Greg Martinez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Timber explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Nice sprawl there from Timber as Martinez shoots in.

Timber throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Martinez 's head.
Martinez shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Timber as he jumps to the side.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Timber lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Timber.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The fight stays on the outside here - Timber looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Timber moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Martinez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Timber lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Timber closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Nice takedown defense from Timber. No joy for Martinez on that attempt.
A left and a right from Timber both land. Nice combination.
Timber connects with a leg kick. Martinez looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Timber thuds his shin into the meat of Martinez 's side.

Martinez is rocked!
Martinez stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Timber.
Oh Martinez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Timber lands with a nice combination. Martinez backs away looking to recover.
Timber throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Martinez stumbling backwards into the cage! Martinez bounces back off the cage towards Timber, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Timber lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Timber celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Mic Timber!
