Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between First Soul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gi Tammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gi Tammer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, First Soul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gi Tammer!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tammer is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tammer fails with the takedown.
Soul definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Soul throws a right and a left that Tammer avoids nicely.
Soul misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tammer.

Tammer has Soul up against the cage in a clinch.
Tammer fails to pull guard.
Soul jumps guard but Tammer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Tammer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Soul walks away with a smile on his face. Tammer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
First Soul has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gi Tammer.
Tammer tries a head kick but it misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Soul. Tammer does a little dance to reset his feet.
Soul throws a low kick but it's checked well by Tammer.
Soul looks to land a body kick but Tammer moved away.
Tammer misses with a double jab.
Soul wants to clinch.
Soul connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Soul misses with a wild combination.
Tammer throws a sloppy head kick and Soul moves out of range easily.

Tammer shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Tammer showed some decent athleticism there.
Soul is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Tammer is trying to control the action in half guard but Soul is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Soul is looking to control Tammer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Soul avoid being mounted?
The fighters are battling for position here. Soul manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Soul pulls Tammer in close to prevent any damage.

Gi Tammer has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Soul swings for the body but Tammer moves out of range.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Soul is defended easily by Tammer.
Soul slips a jab and a cross from Tammer.
Soul throws a hook but Tammer avoids it easily.
Soul feints and then cracks Tammer's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tammer down.
Tammer leaves Soul with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Tammer working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Tammer decides to stand back up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Soul not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Tammer stands and steps away. Soul gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Soul shoots in looking for a takedown but Tammer manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Soul's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tammer is defended easily by Soul.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Tammer throws a right hand that Soul ducks under and follows up with a left that Soul also avoids with ease.
Tammer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Soul circles away from the clinch attempt
and Soul counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Soul is looking to wear down Tammer with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Soul throws a nice looking combination but Tammer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Tammer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Soul circles away quickly and effectively.

Soul throws a push kick but Tammer slaps the foot to one side.
Soul shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tammer defends it nicely.

Soul has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Tammer is trying to keep an underhook but Soul manages to get the takedown into half guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Soul in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Soul dives in for a single leg takedown but Tammer sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Tammer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Soul just stands there and leans against the cage.

Tammer's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Soul is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Tammer pulls him back up using the underhooks.

That was a close second round but I would say that First Soul will probably get the nod.

Tammer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Tammer is working an open guard so Soul takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Soul throws a right and a left that Tammer avoids nicely.
First Soul is winning the standup battle so far.
Tammer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Soul's waist but Soul gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tammer off to one side.

Soul tries to keep at a distance but Tammer has taken the fight into the clinch.
Tammer keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Soul's efforts to push away.
Soul is looking to break free of the clinch but Tammer has double underhooks.
Soul is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tammer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Tammer drives through and clinches with Soul against the cage.
Soul is trying to stall.
Tammer jumps guard but Soul turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Soul is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tammer is defending well.

Tammer looks to score with a jab to the body but Soul is just out of range.
No joy there for Tammer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Tammer blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Soul's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fight stays on the outside here - Tammer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

First Soul showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Soul has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
