Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kobe Romeo Paris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lao Tzu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kobe Romeo Paris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lao Tzu!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paris tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Tzu is able to avoid easily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Paris.
Tzu misses with a two punch combination.
A right-left combo lands from Tzu.


It looks like Kobe Romeo Paris has been cut.
Tzu misses with a wild body shot.

Tzu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tzu misses with a double jab.
Lao Tzu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tzu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Paris sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Tzu lands with a good body shot.
Tzu throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Paris has managed to clinch.
Tzu is pressed up against the cage. Paris has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tzu down to the mat. Tzu avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Tzu moves out of range of the body kick from Paris.
Tzu throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Tzu takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Tzu lands with a good body shot.

Paris changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tzu looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Paris ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Paris tries to work over Tzu's front leg with a kick but Tzu checks it.

Paris swings for the body but Tzu moves out of range.

Tzu moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Tzu fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Tzu throws a jab but it's blocked by Paris.
Tzu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Paris manages to avoid it.
No joy there for Tzu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tzu blocks a head kick by Paris.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Paris, right into the meat.
Tzu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Paris moves away.

Paris shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Tzu is trying to defend but Paris finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Paris paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Paris lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Tzu has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Tzu and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Paris has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tzu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Paris controls Tzu momentarily but Tzu frees himself.

Paris is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tzu defends well.
Kobe Romeo Paris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
