Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marcos Pavil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Baroev Radik!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Radik with that takedown attempt.

Pavil wants to hit a switch here but Radik passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Pavil there!
Pavil on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pavil tries to get out of the position.
Pavil is desperately trying to improve his position but Radik has a good base and remains in mount.

Radik should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Radik postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Radik has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Pavil utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Radik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pavil swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Pavil bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Radik's guard.

Radik is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pavil defends well.

Pavil slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Radik is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Pavil is taking a breather. Radik says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Radik has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Pavil escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Pavil!
Radik is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Pavil is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Radik will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Pavil decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Radik fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pavil avoids it really well and circles away.
Radik fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Marcos Pavil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Baroev Radik.
Pavil jabs Radik to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Radik looks winded!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Pavil cracks Radik with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.


It looks like Baroev Radik has been cut.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pavil connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Radik! He's out on his feet! Pavil rushes in and drops Radik with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Marcos Pavil!
