Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, John McNamara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ed Gein!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Hugh Johnson and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Gein misses.
Gein slips a jab from McNamara.
Gein waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract McNamara.
Gein uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McNamara.
Gein thuds a left hand into McNamara's body.
McNamara is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
McNamara misses with a wild body shot.
McNamara misses the shot to the body.
McNamara throws out a loose jab but Gein uses good head movement to avoid it.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gein, as that shot connected.
Gein swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ed Gein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gein's corner calls for a 1-2. Gein obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
McNamara throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
McNamara lands a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gein moves away from the strike by McNamara.
Gein misses the shot to the body.
McNamara uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gein.
McNamara throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

It looks like Ed Gein has been cut.
Gein has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Gein throws a shot from downtown. McNamara moves away and avoids it.
McNamara avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gein throws out a loose jab but McNamara uses good head movement to avoid it.
McNamara swings widly with a right hand
letting Gein counter with a right hand.
Gein uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McNamara.
Gein misses with an uppercut.
Gein fails to land with a series of punches.
McNamara has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McNamara there as he acknowledges the shot.
McNamara throws out a loose jab but Gein uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gein displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McNamara throws out the jab.
McNamara lands a right hook to the body.
McNamara misses with a looping left.
McNamara throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gein sees it coming and avoids it easily.
McNamara thows a body shot but no joy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McNamara throws an off balance right hand
and Gein counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gein avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
McNamara drops his hands momentarily and Gein takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Gein fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
McNamara missing with a left hand there. Gein was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
An inside leg kick from Gein misses.
McNamara misses with a straight left.

McNamara lands a left and a right that send Gein crashing to the mat, dazed. McNamara thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Gein is rocked!
A telegraphed right hand from Gein misses the target.
Gein is still on wobbly legs! Can McNamara finish him?
Gein missing with a left hand there. McNamara was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Gein keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McNamara.
McNamara throws a lazy right hand but Gein sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
McNamara lands a big right hook! Gein looks hurt but is still standing! McNamara lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Gein falls down and McNamara dives in with a huge hammer fist! Gein's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and McNamara runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). John McNamara!
During a confident post fight interview, John McNamara thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
