Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vanapa Animai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Thug (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Animai comes to the cage accompanied by Here comes the hotstepper. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Animai shoots in for a double leg but Thug sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Animai tries to clinch there but Thug circles away.
The fighters circle momentarily. Thug darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Animai fails with a takedown attempt.
Thug scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Animai has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Thug stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Thug wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vanapa Animai. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Thug gets a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thug gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Thug breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A nice leg kick lands there from Thug.
Animai fails with a takedown attempt.
A left and a right from Thug both land. Nice combination.
Animai misses with a takedown attempt - Thug sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Thug misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Animai takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Nice body punch from Thug.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Animai. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Animai looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Thug cracks Animai with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Animai tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Thug defends well and Animai ends up having to push Thug into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Thug prevents Animai from breaking the clinch.

Thug breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Thug goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Animai is defended easily by Thug.
Nice sprawl there from Thug as Animai shoots in.
Animai is breathing heavily.
Thug connects with a crisp jab.
Thug scores with a jab.
Thug scores with a push kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Thug lands a nice looking body shot.

Thug drops Animai with a right and a left! Thug comes rushing in but Animai regains his composure and manages to keep Thug in guard.

Animai is rocked!

It looks like Vanapa Animai has been cut.

Animai is working an open guard so Thug takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Oh Animai is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Thug walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Animai drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Thug swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Animai's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
