The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cruzo circles away.
Oliveira tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cruzo paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cruzo pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Oliveira will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Robinson Cruzo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruzo wants to clinch up but Oliveira keeps it at a distance.

Cruzo clinches up with Oliveira and pushes him back against the cage.
Oliveira throws a punch but it's blocked by Cruzo.
Cruzo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Oliveira pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Oliveira tries to pull guard but Cruzo won't allow it.

Cruzo turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
