The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, John Mangel and Topper Green.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kelly tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rhodes swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Rhodes fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like Dan Kelly has been cut.
A big right from Rhodes misses.
Dan Kelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kelly throws a series of punches but Rhodes moves out of range.
Rhodes misses with a hook.
Rhodes looks to throw the jab but Kelly is out of range.
Rhodes misses with a double jab.

Rhodes lands a big right hand that sends Kelly crashing to the mat! Rhodes stays standing though and waves Kelly back to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rhodes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rhodes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kelly was well out of range. Poor timing from Rhodes.
Kelly could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kelly uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Rhodes.
Kelly moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Kelly moves away from the strike by Rhodes.

Rhodes defending well as Kelly loads up on a big left hand.
Kelly bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Kelly throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Kelly fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kelly throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rhodes.
Both fighters circling a little - Kelly finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Kelly shoots for a takedown but Rhodes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rhodes displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kelly throws out the jab.
Kelly looks to land a body kick but Rhodes moved away.
Kelly thows a left - swing and a miss!

Kelly wants to clinch but Rhodes slips to the side
and Kelly takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rhodes throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Rhodes jabs Kelly to the body, keeping him at a distance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kelly shoots in and drives through. Rhodes sprawls well.
Kelly misses with a body kick.
Rhodes slaps away a takedown attempt from Kelly, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Kelly. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kelly misses with a double jab.
Kelly is breathing heavily.
Kelly with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rhodes to score with a decent uppercut.
Rhodes thuds a left hand into Kelly's body.

Rhodes moves out of range of the body kick.
Rhodes misses with a straight right.
Rhodes throws a lazy right hand but Kelly sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Kelly misses the target.
Kelly dives in and grabs Rhodes's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rhodes pushes down on Kelly's head and hops out.
Rhodes jabs at Kelly's body.
Kelly takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Dan Kelly's cut is getting worse.
Mike Rhodes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kelly tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Rhodes counters with a crisp one two that drops Kelly! Rhodes thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Kelly to his feet! Kelly is in big trouble!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Kelly is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Rhodes moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
