Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kory Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Bobidi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bobidi takes the fight into the clinch.

Bobidi pulls Guerrero into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Bobidi controls Guerrero momentarily but Guerrero frees himself.
Guerrero could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Guerrero is looking to stand up but Bobidi won't let him.

Guerrero postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Bobidi decides to pull guard.

Bobidi has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Guerrero is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Guerrero has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bobidi is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Bobidi lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Bobidi seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Guerrero does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bobidi seems to be working for a kimura but Guerrero defends the submission attempt.
Guerrero is refusing to be controlled, as Bobidi sits in half guard.
Guerrero is pressing down on Bobidi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bobidi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guerrero. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bobidi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Guerrero is proving hard to escape from.

Bob Bobidi has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Guerrero wants to clinch but Bobidi slips to the side

and Bobidi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Guerrero is looking for a triangle but Bobidi pushes his legs off easily.

Guerrero isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bobidi stacks Guerrero on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bobidi!
Guerrero is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bobidi just content to control the position.
Bobidi wants to take a breather but Guerrero manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Bobidi.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bobidi is working Guerrero over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

That's time! Guerrero's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bobidi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bobidi is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like Kory Guerrero has been cut.

Bobidi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Guerrero defends it easily.

Guerrero avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bobidi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Guerrero is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bobidi.

Guerrero decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bobidi to his feet.
Guerrero tries to close the distance and clinch but Bobidi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Bobidi counters with a straight right hand.

Bobidi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Guerrero to the mat! Guerrero manages to get full guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bobidi gets to his feet. Guerrero looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Bobidi tries a head kick but it misses.

and Bobidi counters with a two punch combo.

Guerrero tries to sprawl but Bobidi drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Guerrero tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Guerrero gets back to full guard.
Bobidi wants to pass the guard but Guerrero is keeping the position.
Bobidi wants to stand and escape but instead Guerrero has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Bobidi turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bobidi manages to end up in side control.
