Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Faustino Rush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kamal Hajaj!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush tries to clinch up but Hajaj circles away and keeps his distance.
Hajaj tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Hajaj drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Rush wants to get back to his feet but Hajaj drags him back down.

Hajaj decides to stand up, so the ref orders Rush to his feet.

Rush shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hajaj's guard.
Hajaj working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rush.
Rush loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Rush tries to stand but Hajaj is controlling from the bottom.
Rush postures up.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rush prevents Hajaj from getting back to his feet.
Rush with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Rush could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hajaj bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rush's guard.
Rush wants to stand but Hajaj is controlling the position.
Rush has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Rush wants to get back to his feet but Hajaj is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Rush has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Hajaj should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rush has tightened it up now! Hajaj should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Faustino Rush!
