The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kable throws a looping overhand right but Russo ducks down to avoid it.
Russo swings for the body but Kable moves out of range.
Kable throws a body punch but Russo moves out of range.
We've been informed that Russo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Oooooh!!! Kable has knocked Russo down with a huge combo! Kable steps away and waves a wobbly Russo back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Leeroy Russo has been cut.

A looping hook to the body misses from Russo. Kable does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kable displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Russo throws out the jab.

Russo has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Kable.

Russo has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kable.

Russo avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kable looks to land a combination but Russo avoids it well.
Russo gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Kable gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Russo is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
