PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Artur Banas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roman Kersikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banas comes to the ring accompanied by Sail. Kersikov is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Iron Maiden - The Wicker Man. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Artur Banas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roman Kersikov!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kersikov lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Banas takes a swing at Kersikov's ribcage but misses.

Kersikov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Banas looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Banas is looking to regain half guard here but Kersikov keeps moving and retains side control.

A close third round but Roman Kersikov just about did enough to take it.

Banas moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Banas scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kersikov in his tracks.
