Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Belcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kostas Papadakis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jake Belcher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kostas Papadakis!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belcher fails to land the takedown.

Belcher closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Belcher lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Papadakis might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Belcher haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Papadakis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Belcher gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Belcher stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Papadakis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Belcher holds on and takes a little breather.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jake Belcher just wasn't active enough.

Belcher bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
