Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Itzo Eiji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shrab Kabovik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

I was talking to Eiji's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Kabovik gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Eiji.
Kabovik has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Eiji avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Eiji working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kabovik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Eiji is tightening it up a little... Kabovik has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Kabovik reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Kabovik taps out! Nice BJJ there by Eiji!
