Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bridgam Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Gustafsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Gustafsson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bridgam Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Gustafsson!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gustafsson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Green bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Gustafsson is looking to regain half guard here but Green keeps moving and retains side control.

Green looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Green is looking to take a break and control but Gustafsson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Green working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Green cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Gustafsson is squirming around, avoiding Green's attempts to control the action.
Green fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Green has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gustafsson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Green can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gustafsson is looking to escape.

Green moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Gustafsson has worked his arm free - good work by Gustafsson!
Gustafsson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Green is controlling him well.
Green wants to control but Gustafsson is keeping him busy.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Green goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Gustafsson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Green's guard! Nice work there by Gustafsson!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gustafsson won't allow Green to sweep him here.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Gustafsson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Green working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gustafsson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gustafsson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Gustafsson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Gustafsson throws a leg kick which misses Green's front leg but catches the back leg as Green tries to avoid it.

Gustafsson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gustafsson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Green keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Green might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Gustafsson lands with some strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Green is wriggling around trying to escape.

Alexander Gustafsson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Green is really struggling to control Gustafsson but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Green postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Gustafsson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Green, into his guard.

Green shoots for a takedown but Gustafsson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Green keeps the fight on the outside.
