The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alverez takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Alverez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Yakovitz connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Alverez ducks right into an uppercut from Yakovitz.

Yakovitz feints a jab promting Alverez to slip. Yakovitz then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Alverez slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

We've been hearing reports that Yakovitz has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Yakovitz plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Alverez to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Alverez just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
