Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between ron artest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Dallas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dallas lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Dallas fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but artest is out of range.
Dallas fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches artest on the side of the head.
Dallas throws a one two combo.
artest is rocked!
Dallas fails with the takedown.
Oh artest is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dallas darts in and clinches artest up against the cage.
artest seems to have got his legs back now.
Dallas can't get the takedown.
Dallas is pressed up against the cage. artest has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dallas down to the mat. Dallas avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
artest really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
artest misses with a takedown
and Dallas counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dallas decides to stand back up.

artest looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Dallas has picked artest up and slammed him! artest can't keep hold of the triangle and Dallas manages to pass to side control!

Dallas takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Dallas wants to control but artest is keeping him busy.
artest tries to roll over but Dallas keeps him under control.
artest trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Dallas manages to pass to mount!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Dallas is figuring out what he wants to do next.

and Dallas holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Dallas drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

artest postures up in Dallas's guard and throws a big left but Dallas blocks it.
