The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Condit darts in trying to clinch
and Osborn counters with a two punch combo.
Condit shoots in for a takedown but Osborn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Condit shoots in looking for a takedown. Osborn tries to sprawl out of it but Condit keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Osborn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Condit scores with a nice body kick.
Osborn could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Condit looks for a takedown but Osborn sprawls well.

and Osborn counters with a thumping low kick.

and Osborn counters with a big head kick but Condit shrugs it off.

Condit throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Condit wants to clinch up but Osborn keeps it at a distance.
Condit shoots in looking for a takedown. Osborn tries to sprawl out of it but Condit keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Osborn manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Osborn throws a nice looking combination but Condit bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Condit throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Osborn's waist but Osborn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Condit off to one side.
Condit looks winded!

Osborn shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Still in half guard, Osborn seems content to control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Osborn has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Roy Osborn.

Osborn seems to be working for a kimura but Condit defends the submission attempt.

Carlos Condit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Osborn shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Condit sprawls well. Condit wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Osborn gets slowly back to his feet.

Osborn gets to his feet. Condit looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Osborn fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Condit sprawls well initially but Osborn persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
