Lodbrok is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Glory and Gore. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ragnar Lodbrok!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson shoots in for a takedown but Lodbrok shows good takedown defense.

My spies in Island Top Team inform me that Lodbrok has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Lodbrok throws an elbow that misses. Simpson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lodbrok's guard. Nice move by Simpson!

Lodbrok pulls Simpson in close to his closed guard and prevents Simpson from doing any damage or advancing position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Simpson won't allow Lodbrok to sweep him here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ragnar Lodbrok dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Simpson gets caught napping as Lodbrok dives in and scores a takedown. Simpson manages to retain guard.

Lodbrok working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Simpson's head.

Simpson looking for a triangle here. Lodbrok is fighting it but it looks tight! Simpson pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Lodbrok is tapping out - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Homer Simpson!
