Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Nichols (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Locke comes to the cage accompanied by Keep Your Eyes Peeled by Queens Of The Stone Age. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Scott Nichols!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Locke does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Nichols uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Locke has time to react.
Locke moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Nichols connects with a nice looking jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nichols throws out a powerful jab.
Nichols throws a big shot that misses.
Nichols takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Nichols walks forward, straight into a front kick from Locke.
Locke throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Locke misses with a straight right.
Nichols misses with a looping left.
Nichols misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Locke.
Locke moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nichols blocks a low kick nicely.
Locke tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Locke seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Locke throws a body kick that misses.
Nichols throws a shot from downtown. Locke moves away and avoids it.
John Locke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping body kick lands there for Locke.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Locke misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice cross by Locke.
Locke avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Locke scores with a head kick.
Locke fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Locke misses with a straight right.
Nichols lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Nichols misses with a looping right.
Nice uppercut there from Nichols.
This has been an exciting period of action!
An inside leg kick lands from Locke.
The fighters circle, before Locke throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Nichols's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Locke lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). John Locke!
Post fight, John Locke stared into the camera and said 'Parents wonder why the streams are bitter, when they themselves have poisoned the fountain.'.
