Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jan Smit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Greenberg!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greenberg stuffs the takedown attempt from Smit. Smit gets slowly back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Greenberg bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Smit has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Greenberg can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Greenberg must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

I would just about give that final round to Mark Greenberg.
Well Greenberg has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
