Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berde does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A jab from Berde does it's job there.
Markovic throws a nice looking combination but Berde bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Markovic connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Berde drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Berde tries to stand but Markovic is controlling his head.
Berde is looking to take a break and control but Markovic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Berde wants to lay and pray for a moment but Markovic keeps working.
Markovic is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Berde is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Berde is stalling here but it's allowed Markovic to get half guard.
Markovic is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Berde's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Berde's back!
Berde wants to control his opponent's hands but Markovic gets his hands free.

Berde rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Markovic looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Berde with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Markovic connects with a stiff jab that staggers Berde - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

A very excited looking Darko Markovic rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
